Hi all, I applied with a position with United Airlines via their website and after going through the initial interviewing questions and after listing my employment with Northwest Airlines as Flight Attendant when UAL asked about experience I was promted for an invite an interview for Jan 10 and various other days through Jan 17 to chose from. Apparently UAL is hiring for the DCA bases, however after speaking with a friend I was told that flying out of DC a FA will fly out of IAD and BWI as well similiar to our NYC bases. However, UAL has a 4 hour call out for reserve(a little more realistic) also the website said that ORD was also a consideration however they were looking for locals. I thought that UAL had finished their interviewing and apparently that is not the case as an application was accepted last night Jan 8. I really hate the thought of starting over, but it seems as though that might be what has to be done in order to continue a career as a flight attendant. I am just posting this in order for those who may have thought UAL was done with interviewing when they stopped accepting applications, because apparently they have started the interviewing process again. Good luck if you decide to interview with UAL, at least they want to hire Americans/ US citizens for Flight Attendant.
